LI responds to Scotland\’s National Planning Framework 4 consultation

The Landscape Institute (LI) has submitted its comments to Scottish government on the draft National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4). When adopted, NPF4 will inform the Scottish Government’s priorities and policies for the planning system until 2045. It will set out how planning and development will contribute to Scotland’s net zero ambitions. NPF4 is the first iteration of the National Planning Framework to bring together spatial and planning policies in one place. In forming part of the statutory development plan, its policies will have a stronger influence on day-to-day planning decisions across Scotland.Read the LI’s full response here.Scottish Government expects ministers to approve the Framework later in 2022. The consultation closed on Thursday 31 March 2022, but the draft Framework and supporting documents are available for reference at www.gov.scot/publications.
