NatureScot has published three new Indicators for Scotland’s Landscape Monitoring Programme: Areas of Local Landscape Designations, Urban Greenspace, and Urban Vacant & Derelict Land. The Landscape Monitoring Programme (LaMP) helps NatureScot, the public body responsible for Scotland’s natural heritage, understand how landscapes in Scotland are changing and how people respond to these changes. Making use of extant national datasets, LaMP comprises a set of indicators across four themes: landscape qualities, public perception, land cover, and built development. NatureScot published LaMP’s first phase of seven indicators in 2017.
